Peter Arthur

Born July 21, 1967, Elizabethtown, NY

CrossFit Instructor – Level 1 Certified, July 2008

“From the first day I participated in CrossFit I knew this was a program that would define my conditioning.  Allow me to introduce you to Fran, Diane, Grace and the rest of the girls sometime…you’ll never work as hard as you do until after you meet them..” CPR/First Responder certified

Education – Aspirations to finish my Bachelors is a work in progress.

AA/AS – 1994, Santa Rosa Junior College

Military – 1988 – 1992, U.S. Navy Corpsman

Occupation – Chemist 1995 – Current; I work as a chemist in a pharmaceutical company located in Petaluma, CA.  I have been in analytical chemistry for over 12 years.  I feel the attention to detail in CrossFit compliments my occupational field in that the results are in the data.  We track times, loads, rounds, range or motion…moods, weather, nutrition, injuries...we track OUTPUT…all of this data, that when looked at as whole, tells a bigger picture about where we are, who we are and if what we are doing is working.  It is in the science of fitness that we examine our results.
Favorite Quote – “Routine is the Enemy”, CrossFit is constantly varied functional movements performed at high-intensity across broad time and modal domains. In layman terms, this means we do different workouts every day. The workouts involve natural movements. And we do them hard and fast for varying lengths of time.
